Online apps and services that will be used by students in the classroom must meet privacy standards established by the Provincial Government. When IT for Learning has completed the prescribed Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for online tools they are added to the Digital Toolbox. These tools still require the informed consent of parents and students before they can be used in the classroom. Consent forms for parents (K-8) and students (9-12) are available online using Parent Connect and Student Connect. More information on these services here.

Teachers who would like to request a privacy scan for digital tools that have not yet been approved can submit a request using this Google Form. Each tool will be prioritized and assessed for its educational benefits and data privacy concerns.
