K-8 students who are new to the district, or signing up for a Google Account for the first time require parental consent. Parents grant consent through the Parent Connect portal. Once this is complete teachers assist students with first login. The initial login password is published in Parent Connect Admin (instructions below).
Gr.9-12 students use Student Connect to sign up for a Google Account. The initial password will appear when they complete the sign up, but if they need a teacher’s help to login for the first time teachers can use the instructions below to find the initial logon password.
Locate the Initial Google Password for Teachers
- Go to: parentconnect.bc.ca/admin. If you are not currently logged in to your district account follow the prompts to do so.
- Locate the Google Workspace for Education consent information.
- Click on the consent table for your class. The password appears in the upper right-hand corner of the window.
