Student Google account names have been changed to match their SD61 student number. This change was made for data privacy, and systems integration reasons. Note the following:
- Students will now log into Chromebooks, Chrome browsers and all Google services using their student number
- Students will still see all of their files and existing group memberships, assignments, shared documents, etc.
- Email sent to the student’s previous address will be automatically forwarded to their new address
- Staff and students can still search for students using the student’s real name (i.e. no need to search by student number)
