Consent Process

Who can get a school district G-Suite account?

All students and staff are able to request a SD61 G-Suite account and used according to the acceptable use guidelines. For SD61 staff, please use Tools for Schools to access information about student G-Suite accounts and process.

Student Consent Information

Students between Grade K-8,  student and parent consent is required for a SD61 G-Suite account. The teacher will initiate the consent process by sending home information about G-Suite and a consent form. Consent is required from both student and parent. The teacher will ensure that students are informed about the acceptable uses of G-Suite. Once the consent form has been returned, and the student has been informed, the school will initiate the student G-Suite account creation.

Student between Grade 9-12, student consent is required for a SD61 G-Suite account. Students can initiate the consent process by completing the online request form. The student G-Suite account will be automatically created. The school will ensure that students are informed about the acceptable uses of G-Suite. The school will also send home an information letter about G-Suite to parents.
